After losing the race lead in Miami, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen expressed his dissatisfaction with the handling of his RB20.
Lando Norris, who was leading without making any pit stops, benefited most from the safety car that was activated following Logan Sargeant’s crash out of the Miami Grand Prix. He was able to hold onto the lead even after the safety car stopped thanks to a cheap pit stop. Many anticipated that Verstappen would catch him quickly, but that didn’t occur.
The three-time Formula One World Champion voiced his dissatisfaction with his car on the team radio after the first lap of the restart. He declared:
It was obvious Max Verstappen was not delighted with the problems with his vehicle. Since it appeared to be difficult for the Dutchman to reclaim the race lead from Lando Norris in the Miami Grand Prix, it is likely that there is a potential aerodynamics problem.
The McLaren driver ultimately prevailed by seven seconds in his debut Formula One race.

Throughout the 2024 Formula One Miami Grand Prix qualifying session, several mistakes were made by drivers. It was difficult for the majority of drivers who qualified for Q3 to beat their prior lap times.
After securing another pole position this season, Max Verstappen disclosed that the car was a bit hit-and-miss as it consistently stayed on the circuit. In the post-qualifying interview, he stated:
Max Verstappen is currently leading the world championship this season despite the challenges he endured during the race. Since 2022, he has led the team in the grid, but it appears that this year’s race for the top spot is quite tight. But Red Bull remains the front-runner for both titles, and it’s difficult to predict if that will alter at the end of the campaign.
